How to choose a good bookmark for gifting?

Reading is a very private activity. Unless you are an author reading out pages of your book to an audience, chances are you are in your own company while reading a book.

Therefore a perfect bookmark is one which is as thoughtful and as personalized as possible. It brings a smile to your face, everytime you open that unfinished book. It should be easy to use. A mechanism that clips it to the page is even better, because in that case, the chances of losing your precious bookmark are fairly low.

If you are looking for that perfect bookmark for a loved one, then here are some suggestions based on the closest characteristic you associate them with:

1) An absolute bookworm:

Our Kitaabi Keeda bookmark is the perfect gift for your bookworm friend. Kitaabi keeda is a hindi word for a bookworm. Enough said!

2) Nature lover:

A lot of our designs are inspired by nature. My favorite one is the Sookhe Phool bookmark (or the dried flower bookmark), because it is crafted so beautifully by our master craftsmen. It also brings back old memories when we used dried leaves and flowers as our bookmarks.

Other designs inspired from nature include the peacock feather bookmark and the autumn bookmark

3) Reads in Hindi or Urdu:

Phrases handcrafted into silver accessories is our thing! So this comes as no surprise that we have a wide variety of bookmark designs with phrases in hindi and urdu. Choose from quirky phrases like “kahani abhi baaki hai” and “kitaabi keeda”. If you are looking for something philosophical, then the Musalsal safar bookmark is a great one. Musalsal safar is an urdu phrase that means “continous journey”. Isn’t that right?

4) Your romantic partner:

What could be a more thoughtful gift for your partner, than a bookmark that says “Ek tumhara hona” or “humraahi”. The next time they open that book, your memory of gifting them something so thoughtful and gorgeous is sure to bring a smile on their face.
